Water supply network put into use in Baghlan

A water supply network in Baghlan-e Markazi district has been put into operation by the province’s Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department.
Rasool Irfan, head of the department, said the network, which has a deep well, a 40-cubic-meter water storage, 240 faucets and 26 solar panels, was commissioned in the village of Maslehat Tappa in Baghlan-e Markazi district.
He added that all the expenses of the network, which is about AFN 6.5 million, has been paid by UNICEF office in north.
According to him, in the past, residents of the area bought drinking water with money or used sea water, which caused various diseases, but now their problems have been solved.
In the meantime, residents of Baghlan-e Markazi have expressed satisfaction with the construction of the network, saying there is now drinking water in their homes and they are safe from diseases.
It is worth mentioning that during this year, 300 development projects have been completed and handed over to use in Baghlan.
