Recovery of about 15,000 acres of government land from usurpers in Balkh

Local officials in Balkh province say about 15,000 acres of government land has been confiscated in the province.
Balkh Governor Mohammad Farhad Azimi told the media that out of a total of 16,232 acres of seized land in the province, about 15,000 acres of government land, 19 houses, 33 residential apartments and 22 shops have been reclaimed from usurpers in the past week.
Mr. Azimi added that 29 people were arrested in connection with these cases and were referred to judicial organs.
Balkh Governor also stated that 41 enemy attacks were repulsed and said that during the operation of defense and security forces, 44 opponents were killed, 35 were wounded and 10 motorcycles, 4 safe havens of the enemy were destroyed and 17 mines were discovered and diffused.
In the meantime, Balkh Police Commander Sayed Merajuddin Sadat announced the intensification of operations in some areas of Balkh province and Mazar-e Sharif-Sheberghan highway, adding that police had been successful in arresting criminals with the help of people.
He also warned bullies and lawbreakers in the province and added that with the cooperation of people and Balkh Provincial House, they will prevent coercion and disorder in the city.
