First women’s sports gymnasium was put into operation in Sarepul.
Samaruddin Fazli, Head of Olympic Committee in the province, said the gymnasium was built at a cost of nearly AFN 50.3 million by the Presidential Operational Unit on one acre of land with 16 toilets and other necessary rooms. It has a capacity of 1,500 spectators.
Qurban Murad Murad, Sarepul Governor, who was present at the inauguration ceremony, praised central government’s effort and stated that 11 major public projects were being implemented by Presidential Operational Unit.
A number of women athletes in Sarepul, while pleased with the construction of the gymnasium, maintained that they used to train at home or in private clubs for a fee, but now the gymnasium has solved their problem.
Meanwhile, a payer recitation salon was recently built and put to use in the province through Presidential Operational Unit.
