Samangan residents increase reporting to 119

Officials at Samangan Police Headquarters say that compared to previous months, the number of citizens calling 119 police hotline has risen.
Abdul Munir Rahimi, Spokesman at Samangan Police Headquarters told Bawar that more than 15 incidents were reported to provincial police through 119, which is an increase from previous months.
Many of the calls were about security disruptors, thieves and vagrants, most of whom had been punished, Rahimi added.
Noor Khan, a resident of Samangan, said that he had reported to 119 the activities of a number of vagrants who were harassing people, and that they were arrested by security organs.
He thanked the police for answering citizens’ calls and punishing disruptive people.
The number of citizens calling 119 has mounted, while Samangan police officials, for the sake of the new year, are asking the citizens of the province to call 119 and report suspicious cases.
