Revenue of state-owned Afghan Gas company in Jowzjan will increase from AFN 700m to AFN 1.17bn in 1400, based on a prepared plan.
“Rise in our income has been projected for the new year after we increased sales to Bayat Power company and Kod o Barq factory in Mazar-e-Sharif,” said Abdul Qayum, Director of Afghan Gas.
Currently, six hundred thousand cubic meters of gas is being processed and prepared daily through sulfur separation device for the consumption of Kod o Barq factory and gas turbines of Bayat Power, he added.
Afghan Gas is currently supplying gas to its customers through 32 wells from four gas mines of Bashikord, Jarquduq, Shakarak and Khaja Gogerdak, according to head of the company.
Officials say this year a new sulfur separation device will be installed and activated next to the current one, which will increase gas processing to two million cubic meters per day.
Jowzjan has 72 inactive gas wells around the city of Sheberghan, and now workers and engineers from Afghan Gas are working to activate five wells in Khaja Gogerdak area.
